Monastrell/Cabernet Sauvignon, Crianza, Castillo de Madax, Jumilla, Spain

Great value, and a lovely example of the excellent wines now coming from central and southern Spain. Monastrell takes centre stage in Jumilla, and here it is blended with Cabernet Sauvignon. Ripe red fruit on the nose with a hint of toasted spice. Well balanced with black fruit and round tannins on the palate.

Viognier Grande Cuvee, Les Argelieres, France

Made to our exacting specifications, Les Argelieres is a unique range of modern, fruity varietal wines from the Languedoc, made with the aim of showing the elegance, subtlety and perfect varietal 'signature' of each grape variety as planted in the warm vineyards of Southern France. Grown on cooler hill sites and with a yield that is cropped and limted to concentrate the ripe apricot and peaches character of Viognier, and balanced on a zesty, fresh acidity that enlivens the palate.

Chardonnay Grande Cuvee, Les Argelieres, France

This ripe and tropical fruit-laden Chardonnay shows how well the noble Chardonnay grape can blend and fuse with toasty oak, from grapes grown on cooler hill sites and with a yield that is limited so as to express the buttery, golden apple and creamy characters that this grape is known for. Almost New World in character, but with layers of complex minerality and freshness.

Cabernet Franc Grande Cuvee, Les Argelieres, France

This Award winning Grand Cuvee Cabernet Franc is a dark purple red in colour. The bouquet shows blackcurrant and green pepper aromas, typical of the Cabernet Franc variety. The palate is smooth, yet fruity with a spicy and savoury finish.

Vina Real Crianza, Rioja, Spain

Viña real Crianza is produced from a blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha and Mazuelo grapes, hand harvested from our vineyards. It ages for a minimum of 12 months in French and American oak casks and rests some months in the bottle before being released.

Vina Real, Barrel Fermented Blanco, Rioja, Spain

The Viura grapes used for our barrel-fermented Viña Real come from 20-year-old vineyards located in different parts of Rioja Alavesa, Elciego and Laguardia, grown on head-trained and trellis vines in cool, calcareous soils. Hand-harvested at optimal ripeness. In the winery, grapes are kept at 10ºC and macerated with their skins for 12 hours for greater aromatic expression in the finished wine. After this time, a small pneumatic press separates the various fractions and qualities of the must. The drained must is then used to produce the wine, fermented in Hungarian oak barrels of varying capacities and ages (1-3 years old). Once alcoholic fermentation is complete, the wine remains in the barrel with the fine lees, which are put in suspension through batonnage. The wine is sampled on a weekly basis to assess its development and determine the right moment to end the lees ageing process. At this point, the wine is racked, clarified and filtered prior to bottling. Soft pale yellow with green gold tinges. Elegant, attractive aromatic intensity. Fruits like pineapple, apple and banana are present and in perfect balance with the aromas from the oak, such as coconut, vanilla and nuts. In the mouth it leaves a sweet aftertaste that invite us to continue drinking.

Syrah/Grenache, Marius by Michel Chapoutier, Pays D'Oc, France

The crop macerates for ten days at a controlled temperature so that the tannins and the fresh fruit aromas penetrate the juices of the wine without compromising the balance we want to achieve. The pumping of the wine from the vat over the must for extraction is practised as delicately as possible. When we are satisfied with both balances, the grapes are pressed. As soon as the alcoholic fermentation has ended, the wines are racked many times and are left on their fine lees so as to reinforce their complexity which is much appreciated at M. CHAPOUTIER. The two grape varieties are therefore vinified separately. The complexity, the elegance and the gourmet touch of Marius rouge are then revealed by our wine blending know-how. Nose: powerful, complex, dark, spicy, red berries, delicate floral touch. Palate: powerful, concentrated and structured attack with a tinge of silky tannins. Red fruit aromas.

Vermentino, Marius by Michel Chapoutier, Vins Pays D'Oc, France

From the King of the Rhone, Michel Chapoutier, comes his village-level wine from the sunny vineyards in the Languedoc. Brilliant and pale yellow with green tints. The nose is very open, with citrus aromas and notes of grapefruit and ripe fruit. An ample palate, rich and fruity. Well balanced acidity and ripe fruit flavours allow for a wine with great persistency.
