Description
One of the first Premier Crus to be designated as such in 1943, Clos Voyens is a Southwest facing vineyard at the top of a hill that borders a small wood. The 2020 has really bright acidity and is incredibly pure with a lovely mineral undercurrent supporting the fresh and aromatic brambly fruit profile. Tannins are very fine, soft and well integrated and the 15 months ageing in 228L barrels is just right for this exciting wine. 20% of whole bunches were used in the fermentation providing the perfect amount of bright aromatics. We were really taken with this and thankfully there is pretty good availability on this wine.
