Description
2 Bottles of each:
Bourgogne Chardonnay, Illumine, Gentie, Burgundy
Classic southern Burgundy Chardonnay with a delicious combination of ripe fruit with a gentle citrus note with a creaminess enhanced by just a tiny kiss of oak.
It is from a 12 hectare plot in the village of Bussières, to the south of the Mâconnais region, with an average vine age of about 40 years. The soil is classic argilo-calcaire that suits Chardonnay so well and that lends elegance and finesse to the final wines. 10% of the wine is barrel aged to give a more textural, slightly creamy element.
Crianza, Rivallana, Rioja, Spain
Rioja Crianza Rivallana Bodegas Ondarre is an intense oak-aged Rioja with flavours of cherries, plums and vanilla. 80% Tempranillo, 10% Garnacha and 10% Mazuela and Graciano grapes are aged in French and American oak barrels for a full year before bottling.
Chateau Guery, Minervois, France
A red wine from Minervois in south west France using grapes grown in sandstone for a powerful, intense, rich and full bodied wine. Pronounced blackberry and herbal notes arise on the nose and palate.
